Days 4 and 5, Venice

We woke to a rainy morning in Turin, we packed up our bags and then went for a walk for for breakfast. It seems the way to have breakfast is a pastry and an espresso standing at the counter so after Sam had his espresso and we all chose a pastry each, chocolate croissants for the kids, we went for a walk while we ate.

It was then back to our apartment to grab our bags and make our way in the pouring rain to the train
station for our train to Venice.

Thankfully the sun was shining when we arrived in Venice, we got straight off the train and onto a vaporetto (boat) to find our way to our apartment.

Our apartment, only 1 minutes walk from San Marco

San Marco Square

Around Venice

The view from the top of the bell tower above St Marks Square

The Rialto markets

A slice of pizza big enough to be an entire meal, although for Isaac is was just a snack!!!

Takeaway pasta, which was delicious :)

A trip to Venice wouldnt be complete without a ride on a gondola....and it was our wedding anniversary as well :)

Venice was fantastic, could not believe the number of tourists here. The kids insisted they could not leave until they had one more nutella crepe :)
