Bridge covered in padlocks
We decided due to the rain and the huge amount of walking we had already done to use the hop on hop off bus to get around the sites of Paris
Arc de triomphe
We then headed for the Eiffel tower and arrived as the clouds parted and the sun finally shone for a short time
After climbing the. 669 steps to the second level and waiting in line for over an hour we realised we had the wrong type of tickets and couldn't go to the top. So we went back to our apartment for a rest and then met Nephtalie, Ana and Deepak at the St Michel Fontaine and went for dinner and then late a drink along Champs Elysees
The next day we were up and out the door to try and beat the crowds. We stopped in at Notre Dame.
And then it was back up the steps to the second level of the Eiffel tower this time with the correct tickets to get us up to the top.
On level 1
Level 2
On top of the Eiffel tower
The Louvre
The crowd of people trying to get a glimpse of the Mona Lisa was crazy and needs much better organisation, however after being squashed and pushed and shoved and abused we did get a quick glimpse up close!!
This is a painting I wanted to see and thankfully there were no crowds.
Appreciating art
On top of the bus...without the rain!!!
We added our own padlock to the bridge near Notre Dame
