Day 11: Montepulciano and Bagno Vignoni

Today we went to Montepulciano another gorgeous town. As with most towns we parked on the outside of the walls and had to walk up the hill to get to the centre of town. We walked through a couple of wine cellars. The kids didnt like the musty smell but they were nice and cool inside.

We asked how old these bottles were and the oldest is from 1887!!!

An Etruscan cave

We then drove to Bagno vignoni where the town surrounds an ancient roman bath with natural hot spring water. We had planned on finding a small natural hot spring that still exists in the area but everyone was hot and tired and with google not being of much help in locating the direction we needed to go in we jumped back in the car to head back and enjoy the swimming pool.
